Park Shuffle

25/03/06

Yesterday Kian called me up and informed me that they are going to Miri park to have a shuffle gathering there, i think it was really a good idea. Since no one has done it in Miri before, so we did it. First we had some problems with the sound systems and good thing one of the crew had it fixed up by borrowing his friend's car with sound system.

When we shuffled there, all the uncles and aunites who are having their usual jogging routine are probaly thinking that what are these crazy young people doing there. I really enjoyed it, since DJ seng's tea is not always our taste. We get to play hard stuff and shuffled like mad, i think Kian should get us go there more often hehe.

Karl's 21st b'day

23/03/06

A big happy 21st birthday to Karl, his birthday was actually two days ago, since i have a bit of problem with the connection and today the connection is good for updating. It's been a while that my friends actually celebrates their birthdays at home, Karl has a nice place. His house is just next to the river and not to mention he has a really nice garden.

I'm sure at most birthdays we all usually have the birthday cake for the person right? and i am very sure that the cake will not end up in our stomache, it will end up some where.

Plenty of drinks in house with good music, it's all good. I think i'm getting old, because i really prefer house parties like these rather than going to Balcony.

Euro fun fair

13/03/06

The Euro fun fair is back in Miri again, since how many years ago they last came. I was really excited over their rides, since i don't really go to amusement parks that often. They don't really have a lot of rides like other amusement parks but their rides and stuffs are 1000 times better than those "cikai"(lousy shits) fun fairs.

The rides was really awesome, the g-force was so strong that most of us ended up joining the pengsan crew. After joining the Pengsan crew i learnt one thing, never eat before going for amusement park rides, it's really worst than having a hang over.

One the ride was seriously a waste of money, not to mention i went home empty handed without winning any prizes from the games there and puhyah and Ilyas won some prizes(with the amount spent on the tokens to win)

Old school candy

09/03/06

I thought i will never see this, the last time i consume this candy was over 10 years ago when i was still in primary school. It really brings back a lot of good memories when i see it.

The taste has never change from the first day i ate it, it's dissolves easily and it's not too sour. It's not everyone's favourite candy, but seeing this candy again really brings back the good memories.

Borneo Highlanders dinner

05/03/06

Last night Rining had 3 extra tikcets to the Borneo Highllanders dinner, me, Eric and Hensley went. The dinenr was held at mega hotel which is 2 minutes walking distance from my house. The Sarawak Chief Minister and his wife was there to attend the dinner, the dinner started off with a couple of performance from the Kelabit community.

The chief Minister and his wife was given loca Kelabit names, which i can't remember. The food was alright, the organizers put too much tables in the ballroom, it ended up too crowded and there was hardly any space for the waiters to move around.

When i saw them serving this dish, it reminded me of what Hensley said. He told me nearly went psycho eating it because there was nothing else to eat when he was at Kampung. It's call Nu'balaya(correct me if i'm wrong) a traditional Kelabit/Lun Bawang food. Its made from bario Rice, compact in banaa leave.
